I actually really like mixing minty greens with neutrals, so you’re on the right track with the cream/grey tops. I also think minty greens work well with mustards (like this F21 cardigan over a cream top) (and another option here at F21, too) and rusty browns (like this top).

Burgundy also works well with mint–one of my own personal favorite combos at the moment is a mustard/gold cardigan, silk peach blouse (like this), burgundy belt (like this), mint green pants, black shoes + a black bag. If you don’t fill particularly adventurous with color, a simple black blouse and camel blazer or jacket would also work well and look sharp. Diane Von Furstenberg used mint green in a lot of her Spring 2012 RTW collection, so there are some great ideas there, too!

And last but not least, whenever I fear looking like a tweenager in a certain outfit, I just make sure to use items that are a bit more “adult” – think silk blouses, super tailored jackets, simple gold collar necklaces for accessorizing, and no ruffle, lace, or bow embellishments on *anything*. Isn’t getting older so much fun? LOL. ;)
